- Why is Lionheart different?
At Lionheart Industries, we focus on the customer experience. We have put enormous thought into everything we do, including our product design. Products are never in their final form; instead, our company is continually and incrementally improving!
- How was the LH Series designed?
The LH Series is based on the Korean military sidearm; the Daewoo K5. Soon after its development in the 1980’s, the K5 was imported into the US as the Daewoo DP-51. After many years of battle proven history, we saw the potential in this firearm. We then decided to update and improve the DP-51 and turn it into the ultimate combat handgun. With some help from industry experts, endless trips to our factory in Korea, and tens of thousands of test rounds, it was ready!
- What is special about the LH Series?
The LH Series has an excellent track record. It has been used as the standard sidearm for the Korean Army for over 25 years! The design utilizes a unique “Double Action Plus+” trigger system which combines double and single action for a truly unique and smooth first shot. We use forged materials – no polymer frame here, yet nearly the same weight!
- Where are Lionheart firearms manufactured?
Our pistols are manufactured in South Korea by the former Daewoo Firearms factory. Secondary quality control, some assembly, and service is done in Renton, WA.
- What is an FFL?
A Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) is an individual, dealer, distributor, manufacturer, or range that is licensed by the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) to legally deal in firearms. There are several different types of licenses for different uses. Some FFLs can import, manufacture, resell, etc. all depending on the type of license.
- How do you ship a firearm?
All Firearms purchases must be transferred between licensed FFLs. We are allowed to ship to an FFL if they present us with an updated, signed copy of their license.
USPS is the cheapest method of shipping. If using UPS or FedEx, overnight air is the only legal shipping option.
We are allowed to ship a firearm directly to an individual without an FFL if we are performing warranty or other armory services on firearms. The only shipping method allowed to send directly to an unlicensed individual is UPS or FedEx overnight air by law. All other transactions must be done through an FFL.
