- Why is Lionheart different?
At Lionheart Industries, we focus on the customer experience. We have put enormous thought into everything we do, including our product design. Products are never in their final form; instead, our company is continually and incrementally improving!
- How was the LH Series designed?
The LH Series is based on the Korean military sidearm; the Daewoo K5. Soon after its development in the 1980’s, the K5 was imported into the US as the Daewoo DP-51. After many years of battle proven history, we saw the potential in this firearm. We then decided to update and improve the DP-51 and turn it into the ultimate combat handgun. With some help from industry experts, endless trips to our factory in Korea, and tens of thousands of test rounds, it was ready!
- What is special about the LH Series?
The LH Series has an excellent track record. It has been used as the standard sidearm for the Korean Army for over 25 years! The design utilizes a unique “Double Action Plus+” trigger system which combines double and single action for a truly unique and smooth first shot. We use forged materials – no polymer frame here, yet nearly the same weight!
- What is the REGULUS and why is it unique?
Built from the highest-grade materials with cutting-edge technology and precision machining, the Regulus refines 30 years of battle-proven reliability into a high-performance, modular package completely made in the United States. Every aspect of the design has been shaped by consumer feedback and reviewer insight – this led to many upgrades, including the modular platform, Tru-Axis™ barrels, refined trigger, redesigned sight sizes, and increased grip and color options.
Regulus is designed to continue the reliable heritage that Lionheart is known for. You will find the Regulus to be easy to control, simple to maintain, and unparalleled in performance. Aerospace-grade aluminum makes the frames rugged yet keeps them extremely light weight. Chromoly steel slides and barrels will withstand abuse for tens of thousands of rounds in every type of adverse condition. Cerakote® protects the entire pistol, ensuring smooth function and resisting damage from use or corrosion. Do you like lights or any other attachments? Each Regulus frame comes standard with an accessory rail, which allows you to attach your favorite accessories.
The REGULUS parts and accessories will work with all previous Daewoo DP-51 and Lionheat LH Series pistols with the exception of the 18 round magazines and 1911 style sights.
- Where are Lionheart firearms manufactured?
Our LH Series pistols were manufactured in South Korea by the former Daewoo Firearms factory. Secondary quality control, some assembly, and service is done at one of our locations in Renton, WA. Our new REGULUS platform was 100% designed, manufactured, and hand-fitted in the USA.
SHIPPING & FFLs
- What is an FFL?
A Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) is an individual, dealer, distributor, manufacturer, or range that is licensed by the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) to legally deal in firearms. There are several different types of licenses for different uses. Some FFLs can import, manufacture, resell, etc. all depending on the type of license.
- How do you ship a firearm?
All Firearms purchases must be transferred between licensed FFLs. We are allowed to ship to an FFL if they present us with an updated, signed copy of their license.
USPS is the cheapest method of shipping. If using UPS or FedEx, overnight air is the only legal shipping option.
We are allowed to ship a firearm directly to an individual without an FFL if we are performing warranty or other armory services on firearms. The only shipping method allowed to send directly to an unlicensed individual is UPS or FedEx overnight air by law. All other transactions must be done through an FFL.
